The Role and the Team
In this role, you’ll design and deliver advanced performance dashboards, analytics, and reporting products that span aviation safety, WHS, and related risk domains. Applying technical expertise in data engineering and analytics to automate processes, develop insights, and present high-quality reports is a key function of the role.
Internal stakeholders up to Board level and external organisations such as CASA and CANSO will welcome your dedication to sources of truth with complex safety and risk data.
You’ll work closely with teams across the risk, noise and environment function, enterprise performance specialists, and data management partners to ensure effective coordination and collaboration. Coaching and mentor colleagues will ensure your empathetic and measured contribution to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

With your ability to communicate with confidence and influence decisions at all levels you are seen as the “go to person”. Your ability to combine technical expertise with strategic thinking makes you a trusted advisor.
What You Will Bring
Experience:
- Power BI – report design (data modelling, transformation, and visualisation) and publishing using Power BI Fabric
- Working with data sources in various formats including Excel/CSV, SharePoint Lists and via APIs (to other systems using protocols like REST)
- Data modelling using scripting languages (e.g. SQL, Python) and the use of version control
- Experience with Service Now platform and internal analytics/dashboard tools
- Knowledge of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) data warehousing principles, data pipeline design and experience with associated platforms such as Snowflake
- Exploring AI to enhance data insights and improve efficiency
Qualifications: Tertiary degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, IT/Information Management, or equivalent
Attributes: Analytical mindset, adaptability, and the ability to deliver high-quality work under pressure.
