The Role & The Team

This role is being offered on a 24 -month fixed term contract

As the Senior Project Manager, you will join the leadership team of the Infrastructure Stream, within the ARFFS (Aviation Rescue Fire Fighting Service) NexGen Program to drive the end-to-end delivery of critical infrastructure projects designed to support the future of aviation rescue firefighting services across Australia.

The ARFFS NexGen Program represents a significant national investment in the future of aviation safety. It focuses on delivering modern, sustainable infrastructure and service enhancements that strengthen outcomes for our people, our industry partners, the travelling public, and the environment.

Lead the delivery of high-quality, operational facilities with a strong focus on time, cost, and quality. Bring your proven expertise in construction project management, public sector delivery, and commercial contract oversight.

You are an innovative thinker, using your industry knowledge and problem-solving mindset to navigate complexity and deliver practical solutions. You’ll will naturally build relationships to collaborate closely on initiatives within the ARFFS NexGen Program and with cross-functional teams across Airservices to proactively identify dependencies, risks, and issues.

The Person

• Portfolio, Program and/or Project management qualifications, with supporting experience.
• Demonstrated ability to drive, deliver and sustain projects to achieve outcomes in a complex environment.
• Demonstrated sound judgement, business acumen and decision making, with a focus on results in a service delivery environment.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and present innovative solutions and influence outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strategic relationships to facilitate partnerships and cooperation.
• Demonstrable experience in coordinating and influencing geographically diverse project teams.
• Diversity of experience across the private and public sectors is desirable.
• Robust experience in delivering Projects in a leadership/project lead position.
• Demonstrable experience managing contractors and delivery partners to achieve project outcomes.
