Summary

Airservices Australia is seeking a highly experienced and self-driven Freedom of Information (FOI) and Privacy Officer to take full ownership of our FOI and privacy functions. This is a pivotal and standalone role, with no direct reports, requiring a resilient individual who can manage and improve both functions independently. As the sole resource responsible for these critical areas, you will be tasked with ensuring compliance with the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (FOI Act) and Privacy Act 1988), while driving continuous improvements and managing risks autonomously. Your input and proactive approach will be vital to the success of Airservices’ compliance and privacy initiatives.

The Organisation

Airservices Australia is a government-owned organisation responsible for the safe and efficient management of 11% of the world’s airspace and provision of aviation rescue firefighting services at Australia’s busiest airports.

Our dynamic and diverse teams operate from locations across the country from bustling cities to regional and remote locations, including an island. We keep Australia’s aviation industry safe every day of the year, both in the air and on the ground.

We connect people with their world safely – linking family and friends, generating economic activity, creating jobs, and facilitating trade and tourism.

We’re shaping a once-in-a-century step-change. Given the emergence of new airspace users, new aerodromes, and a range of new crewed and uncrewed aircraft, we are working closely with our customers and the community, as we adapt our service offerings to cater to these new and diverse aviation participants, ensuring we continue to keep our skies safe while balancing our environmental and social responsibilities.

We encourage motivated individuals who love what they do, value a service- first mindset and embrace a challenge or two… to explore a career with Airservices.

Why Join AIRSERVICES?

  • Innovation: Work in a high-impact, forward-thinking environment with opportunities to shape the future of aviation compliance.
  • Career Development: Professional growth in a dynamic, diverse workplace.
  • Exceptional Benefits: Including competitive salary, 14% superannuation, and a range of work-life balance benefits.
