The Role & The Team
Airservices is embarking on the next tranche of its Cyber Security Program. Tranche 4 will be delivered over two years across eight streams of work, delivering simplified services which will remove complexity and promote a positive employee experience. This entails securing our service delivery environment and focuses on addressing the increasing cyber threat landscape in which we deliver our services.
As Project Manager, you will be working to the Cyber Tranche 4 Program manager to lead and manage multiple workstreams to ensure Tranche 4 objectives are delivered on-time and within budget. This includes working with the cyber program delivery team, as well as subject matter experts and a range of other stakeholders, including operational and technical representatives and senior management. You will also be required to establish and manage positive and productive working relationships with our delivery partners and vendors, and apply appropriate project discipline to ensure time, cost and quality is maintained.
Position Specific
- Lead a project team to define a project management plan including, but not limited to, scope, quality, schedule, resource, cost, risk, issues and opportunities, stakeholder engagement and communications and governance and assurance against the approved baseline.
- Sound knowledge of cyber security practices and standards, including ISM, NIST and ISO27001.
- Deliver against the project management plan and baseline and monitor actual progress and cost to date and forecast accurately progress.
- Drive overall performance of the Project including monitoring of scope, cost, schedule, risk, issues, opportunities, dependencies, stakeholder management.
- Manage contractors and key stakeholders as required to deliver to the project requirements and apply you experience in contract management.
- Promote a learning organisation through the ongoing continuous improvement and education of key stakeholders.

The Person
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in project management roles
- Experience in managing projects within complex technology programs delivered by multiple delivery partners (internal and external). Project management experience within regulated environments, operational service delivery and/or aviation is also desirable.
- Understanding of cyber security practices and standards, including ISM, NIST and ISO27001 in delivering technology outcomes
- Minimum 5 years’ experience managing contractors and delivery partners to achieve project outcomes.
- Demonstrated sound judgement, business acumen and decision making, with a focus on results in a service delivery environment.
- Portfolio, Program and/or Project management qualifications, with supporting experience
- Demonstrated ability to drive, deliver and sustain Projects to achieve outcomes in a complex environment.
- Experience in aviation / air traffic management desirable but not essential
- Broad knowledge of, and experience with ICT technology and in-depth understanding of modern technology trends desirable
