Deliver the environment reporting program to cover internal and external requirements. Provide support and advice on the application of environmental and sustainability requirements to ensure compliance with federal, state, and airport obligations.  

The Organisation

Airservices is a government owned organisation providing safe, secure, efficient and environmentally responsible services to the aviation industry.
Each year we manage over four million aircraft movements carrying more than 156 million passengers, and provide air navigation services across 11 per cent of the world’s airspace.

The Role

Deliver the environment reporting program across all mandatory, performance, and unplanned events, including requirements from ministerial directions, airports, State Environment Protection Agencies (EPAs), National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Scheme (NGERS). You will determine how environmental obligations are to be enacted and undertake communications to assist with the operationalisation of requirements to ensure compliance.

You will report to the Environment & Sustainability Principal Advisor and build effective working relationships both internally and externally.

We are looking for a person who has exceptional analytical and communication skills that can deliver in a collaborative manner with internal and external stakeholders. To be successful in this role you will have a diverse background in environmental management with proven abilities to design, develop and improve systems, and enjoys being part of a team to deliver on a collective vision.

Skills and Experience

Bachelor degree or higher in Environmental Science or Management (or equivalent), or Environmental Law, plus demonstrated experience in this technical discipline.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Demonstrated record of environment and sustainability reporting
  • Demonstrated experience in the interpretation and application of environmental legislation and the management of environmental consents
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail

Security Clearance

  • To be eligible to apply, you must be an Australian citizen as an Australian Government Baseline Security Clearance is required for this role.
