OneSKY Australia—a joint activity between Airservices and the Department of Defence—is responsible for planning, developing and implementing Australia’s next-generation Air-Traffic Management (ATM).
Play a leading role in realising the promise of OneSKY: the world’s first combined civil and military ATM capability.
Lead Human System Integration activities in a pragmatic and contemporary manner in close coordination with OneSKY’s stakeholder community.
Provide specialist advice, guidance and support to the OneSKY project and change initiatives including acquisition, system design, system validation and organisational change, to enhance system performance through consideration of human factors and human performance characteristics.
Conduct activities to support the Program’s regulatory/safety, security and fitness-for-purpose outcomes.
Be an integral part of OneSKY’s contribution to Airservices continual excellent delivery of safety, environmental, WHS, risk and compliance outcomes.
This role is a 3 years fixed term opportunity.
To be successful in this role, you will build and maintain relationships with prime contractor staff, specifically CMATS Human Factors and Safety teams, the broader Airservices organisation, the civil regulator and a range of Defence acquisition, sustainment and regulatory stakeholders.
As an acknowledged and respected subject matter expert, you will provide clear advice and direction in order to assist Service Capability Assurance achieve OneSKY’s objectives.

Skills and Experience
The successful applicant will have:
- Significant (>5years) experience in the practical application of human factors/performance assessment techniques, particularly in evaluating change in highly complex socio-technical systems.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of cognitive psychology and human factors principles.
- Highly effective and concise communication skills in written and verbal form.
- Demonstrated high level ability to work independently/autonomously across multiple projects, while working collaboratively as part of a small team.
- Knowledge and demonstrated practical application of Safety Management Systems to change management.
- Knowledge and demonstrated application of workplace safety practice in comparable environments to ATM.
You must be an Australian citizen eligible for a Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) Australian Government Security Clearance.
