Airservices is a government owned organisation providing safe, secure, efficient and environmentally responsible services to the aviation industry.
Each year we manage over four million aircraft movements carrying more than 156 million passengers, and provide air navigation services across 11 per cent of the world’s airspace.
This role is part of a team that provides effective and efficient commercial and business services to the Aviation Rescue Fire Fighting Service (ARFFS). This includes implementing frameworks to drive a high performance business and act as an interface between ARFFS and the Corporate Services Centre and Finance Groups.
As the Commercial Performance Manager, you will lead the delivery of commercial services for the ARFFS group. You will ensure ARFFS executes its financial and commercial responsibilities in accordance with all applicable internal and external rules. You will also lead the development and provision of operational and business reporting. In addition you will provide commercial services that foster a strong business performance culture while promoting innovation and achievement of strategic initiatives.
You will contribute to the design and implementation of initiatives that encourage a customer oriented and commercial focused Group.
We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced leader who is able to establish, develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders.
To be successful in the role you should also have a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, have a commercial mind-set, be proficient in the use of technologies, have a customer service approach and highly developed influencing skills.
As the Commercial Performance Manager within the ARFFS business group you will be a member of a highly motivated and professional leadership team. The Commercial environment is complex and the team is results oriented and customer focused. We encourage collaboration and teamwork across the ARFFS business. The successful candidate will be expected to lead commercial support, guidance, information and advice.
Skills and Experience
The successful applicant will have:
- 10 years’ experience in an accounting or business related discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to provide pragmatic commercial advice to enable delivery of strategic initiatives.
- Ability to influence and to present information to groups of senior staff.
- Extensive experience in management reporting and financial analysis as well as the ability to deliver accurate and timely financial information.
- Extensive experience in procurement, contract management and supplier relationship management.
