Airservices is a government owned organisation providing safe, secure, efficient and environmentally responsible services to the aviation industry.
Each year we manage over four million aircraft movements carrying more than 156 million passengers, and provide air navigation services across 11 per cent of the world’s airspace.
This is a new and influential role that is pivotal in establishing, defining and delivering the program of work under the ARFFS Modernisation Program (AMP) to enable an enhanced and agile ARFFS for now and into the future.
The AMP is a new and significant initiative that has been commissioned to ensure that our Aviation Rescue Firefighting Service (ARFFS) is ‘fit for the future’. It focuses on a number of domains including: leadership, organisation & people, assets (vehicles, equipment, facilities), training and support.
The position is fixed term (non-ongoing) for up to two years.
To be successful you will be an experienced senior leader who has led large scale and multi-faceted change programs in both an operational and a cultural context, from inception through to implementation. You inspire new ways of thinking and apply your emotional intelligence and commerciality to challenge the 'status quo', influence change and develop an inclusive and high performing culture
You are a proven senior leader who successfully designs, influences and implements large scale change. You will have at least five years plus demonstrated experience in managing and directing a complex and nationally visible program of work from initiation phase through to delivery including a high degree of commercial and business acumen.
You possess highly developed critical thinking and ability solve complex business problems that are both operational and cultural in scope. You also have superior relationship and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence change and work collaboratively across an organisation at all levels.
While not essential, ideally you hold relevant and aligned qualifications.
