The Organisation

Airservices is a government owned organisation providing safe, secure, efficient and environmentally responsible services to the aviation industry.
Each year we manage over four million aircraft movements carrying more than 156 million passengers, and provide air navigation services across 11 per cent of the world’s airspace.

The Role

The Network Coordination Centre (NCC) is a dynamic business unit with a range of customer centric functions. It is the central point of coordination across the air traffic network ensuring our customers and stakeholders receive world class aeronautical information services and air traffic flow management on a 24/7 basis. 

The Person

Timely aeronautical information services require the successful applicant to be flexible, as we will require you to work a 7-day rotational shift roster covering a broad range of hours. Enthusiastic within a team environment without any hesitation in delivering consistent customer service, whilst working independently under general direction with the ability to adapt to an ever changing, fast paced environment. In addition, we will require you to have:

  • Diligent focus to detail under time pressure
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills and be a strong communicator
  • Excellent telephone skills

Team Culture

Staff enjoy working in the NCC because no two days are the same. Our workplace is very diverse with staff coming from a wide variety of backgrounds. One to three months of on-the-job-training on any new function ensures our staff feels equipped to deliver our services. The flexibility in balancing work/life that comes with doing shift work is another great motivator for our staff.

Skills and Experience

The successful applicant will have:

  • Demonstrated customer focus in a service delivery environment
  • Proven data entry capability with high attention to detail
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Computer literate with demonstrated ability to learn new software applications.
  • Significant experience in transport and/or services industry. (highly desirable)
  • Appropriate tertiary or industry-specific qualifications (desirable)
