Airservices is a government owned organisation providing safe, secure, efficient and environmentally responsible services to the aviation industry.
Each year we manage over four million aircraft movements carrying more than 156 million passengers, and provide air navigation services across 11 per cent of the world’s airspace.
As a Technical Officer you will be involved in the delivery and maintenance of support to airways facilities so as to ensure the operational safety, efficiency, effectiveness and integrity of the National Airways System.
You will conduct service delivery that promotes the safety of the air traffic control system and provide a high standard of customer service.
We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled individual with good communication and time management skills who can work to deadlines. The candidate will require strong problem solving and anlaystical skills with high attention to detail and have the ability to adapt to shifts in circumstances and priorities.
You will be part of a diverse, dynamic and highly skilled team of technicians who provide frontline maintenance and support services for the operation of Air Traffic Management system. Skills and Experience
The successful applicant will have:
- Demonstrated ability to accurately diagnose routine faults and failures.
- Ability to seek supervisory engagement when not operating within normal conditions.
- Demonstrated ability to work with limited technical guidance, in the maintenance and/or support of complex systems
- It is essential that the candidate hold a minimum academic qualification of a Diploma of Technology or higher in one or more of the following:
- Radio engineering
- Communications engineering
- Electrical engineering
- Electronic engineering
- Computer science
- Information technology or qualification equivalent to the above
