Airservices has two major operating centres in Melbourne and Brisbane and a corporate office in Canberra. We operate 29 air traffic towers at international and regional airports, and provide aviation rescue fire fighting services at 26 Australian airports.

The Role

As part of the OneSKY Program Management Office, the Scheduling and Interdependency Management Specialist role is vital in supporting the successful delivery of the OneSKY Australia Program. You will be responsible for supporting delivery teams in developing and maintaining project schedules and upholding the integrity and credibility of those schedules. The role also requires cost and resource forecasting derived from project schedules to inform estimates at completion, estimates to completion and variances against an established baseline.

The Person

This role requires the individual to have a strong sense of ownership of the project plan and endeavour to continually improve the integrity and accuracy of the schedule. They will have an appreciation of the key role a planner/scheduler plays in the successful delivery of projects and programs.

With a demonstrated background in project controls, the individual will naturally seek to identify performance trends, be grounded in the realities of project delivery all while having a ‘best for project/program’ mentality.

Skills and Experience

The successful applicant will have:

  • Demonstrated experience delivering systems engineering or infrastructure projects
  • Proven understanding using Earned Value Management
  • 5 years’ experience in a similar planning or scheduling role
  • Strong system knowledge and application of scheduling tools including Microsoft Project Server and Primavera P6

It is desirable for the successful candidate to have:

  • Experience working on multi-billion dollar programs
  • Diversity of experience across the private and public sectors
  • Project management/controls qualifications
  • Be eligible for or already have Baseline Clearance (PROTECTED)
